Bring in the New Year....Ding Dong the clock strikes...

With the intention to celebrate all things,
I wanted to kick off the year with a Ding Dong!!
A New Years Eve Party just for Littles.

{This is the first time I used my new camera.}

Each Little had their picture taken.

I have been wanting to throw parties to encourage friendship since we moved here.
I came up with a plan.
I only spent $20.00 and used things I had for decorations, it's more about the gather anyway.
The idea was to have a balloon drop at 3:00, since it is so hard for my Littles to stay up late.
DiNG DoNG the clock strikes 3:00, Pretend it's 12:00 and party with me.
My Big Little made the sign.
We celebrated New Years 2014 at 3:00pm with a balloon drop, sparkling cider and ding dongs!!

I made this banner out of scrap materials that I already had.
Instead of making it permanent, I used colored pins to hold it in place.

I wrapped the balloons around the chandelier, with tulle that I stitched up on the sides.
There was much anticipation waiting for these balloons to drop.
We waited with our crowns on and sparkling cider.

At "midnight"- I mean 3:00, they came floating down.

I used scrapbook material that I already had on hand to make a crown for everyone.
My Big Little cut out tops from different paper, so it would be quicker for to make 12!!!
I sewed ribbon onto it to tie it around their head. Each girl picked 2 colors, one ribbon, and cut-out letters for their name. Then they sat beside me as I sewed their crown and showed them how the sewing machine worked.

I shared with them, why we celebrate the New Year and encouraged them to make resolutions.

My Littlest, Little Em was right by my side.

I hung a few balloons back up afterwards.
I wanted a feeling of magic to stay.
I think I'll leave them up.

Outside we played until it was time to go.

It was so much fun and they were all ready for bed by 8:00.
My Mister and Me had a real New Year's Eve party at midnight.
I hope this will be the first of many celebrations.

from me to you w love, M
