Little man Jo
I took my Little man to a National Youth Leadership Training this morning. I'm so proud of who he is becoming and glad he is daring to get out of his comfort zone. He has decided to accept a leadership position as Senior Patrol leader, this is huge for him, since he doesn't really like to be in front of people or communicate. But he is knowledgeable and that knowledge can't be kept in. His troop voted to put him in charge, they said he is kind, quiet, never gets in trouble and knows stuff.
It's only been a few months and is leading strong and seeing he has a voice and strength. He had a few choices and opportunities for summer camps and since he's all merit badged out even though not ranked, only because of the swim thing, (he would have been an eagle a long time ago.)
This nationally recognized leadership camp will teach him skills and help him put them in place to teach younger scouts and lead the Patrol. I am so pleased with the young man he is becoming.
