A timeline together
For the longest time, I had just the most current family picture above the fireplace. I haven't really unpacked all my moving boxes since 2012/13, when the journey to find a place to plant ourselves and settle down began. Now that we are finally put, even though the soil is fresh, our roots are beginning to dig.
I unpacked all my family pictures and my book collection from the late 1800's to the early 1900,s and put them on display.
Even though I don't like the family picture of me, post pregnant after my Little man Jo was born, it's a journey I am proud to display. I want my Big Littles to remember the early years, when they were little and we did what we are doing now...still...as parents. I have miniature pictures of them on Daddin's shoulders. {dad-in, never step-dad.} I have a picture of Gigi and Jo when they were inseparable, as right now, they just want to fight. Oh, and a very little picture of my Mister and I, when we were dating, looking for crystals in the mountainside and finding light in each other when it was dark and had forgotten flashlights.
This life is a journey. We change, slowly, not overnight, little by little, it is these pictures that serve as reminders of that change, but the two things that hold this timeline together are the love & commitment we have for each other.
From me to you w love, M
PS. after writing this I found this wonderful word sign on my IG feed and knew it needed a home here, for $12.95 it was sold! And will soon sit in our together forever home.
