FHE for the win

She wins!!!

Last week everyone chose what they wanted to do together for family home evening. Em chose to play Candyland. 

This week we made it happen. 

Keeping with the Candyland theme, I gave them random pieces of candy when they answered conference trivia questions regarding this talk, entitled Choices,  by the prophet Thomas S. Monson. 

I asked questions like...how many current temples are there? ... how many new ones did they announce? ...what does the "S" in Thomas S. Monson stand for?... and other more meaningful gospel questions.  Like what can we do to follow Jesus' path. Some of their answers were, pray, read scriptures, and  be a good example.

 Then we played several games of Candyland. Together, taking turns. 

She's learning how to be a good sport too. She shook Jo's hand when he was the winner. 

It's not always easy trying to get everyone involved, so letting everyone choose an activity and rotate has been a great thing. I love seeing them all play and have fun together, because that doesn't last long. Win win win.
