Learning to let go and be a little messy!

I am learning to let go and be a little messy.
YIKES....I did just leave my dirty dishes....

This is Sunday.....after church
{ it is officially Family Funday}
.... everyone comes over.
We eat.
We play.

The Littlest of all the littles are in the sandbox. {:)}

                                         These two WILL be best friends!!

These 3 are friends in fashion, fancy and fun....
They all found something to do in The Craft Shack.

It was fun to see what they made and the smiles on their faces!!

Let's not leave out the men in our life that make our hearts sing.
These Gessell men, rock!!  If this BBQ had a soul it would sing too.
Grandpa Glade Beck, bless your soul, your children make our hearts glow...
{sorry it just came out that way....bring on the cheezzz...}
Really I'm a little teary eyed for we miss his presence, and all of our parents who can't be with us becasue they are serving The Lord.

{little bit about this BBQ...it was loved, it was Grandpa Glade's BBQ. It was given to us to love and we gave it some TLC to make it last longer and be a little present in our lives}

 We had a great night celebrating Biggest Little and Not so Little Anymore's graduation. The proof is in the kitchen!!!

This is what was leftover when all went home.
 I decided I would do them the next day.
Little did I know they would sit longer than I thought.

Biggest Little ended up having an accident in which she chipped her front tooth and instead of the dishes, I took her to the dentist.  Gigi went to my sisters...They had a "Make it Monday" craft project planned.

Love the finished project, love my sisters craftiness. She was queen of craftiness....long before I even knew crafty exsisted. {:)}

 After most of the day spent away and dedicated to my BIggest Little,  I decided that my Little Em needed some time outside, so the dishes sat even longer....

My Little Em is unlike my other Littles in the way she likes to get dirty, feel different textures, play hard and do it on  her own.

She loves everything,
maybe because I am more relaxed too,
maybe because I offer her more opportunities.
I was so high strung with my Bigger Littles.
I am so sorry that I cared that they were always clean,
and that we didn't have a yard to play in,
and that I didn't realized they could do more than they could.

I have learned many things in the last 20 years!! That sounds crazy to say...20 years!!   Please let yourself let go of the things that can be done later....not all of the time or course, but most of the time...if possible and just get dirty and play.

Little Em loves being outside and discovering everything. She sees so much more than I. She calls to me Mommy Mommy and I get down on my knees
{thankful for my knees}
to look at the little insects she finds or, little flowers or small strawberries that grow in the.... i guess you can call it  our grass.  {hehe}

There is nothing special about my knees, but the fact that they bend is such a blessing, because if they didn't I'd miss out on a whole lot of things  and I couldnt walk without looking really weird.}  {:)}

We stayed outside until daddy got home and then she played some more...

At the end of the day the dishes did get done, and everyone still had fun! Except for my Big Little whose tooth could not be fixed and whom was clearly not happy about it. There will be NO picture. A root canal was scheduled and a crown appointment too.

                                                              {:)}

The garden grew, our souls were fed, the light was shone and there's more ahead....

Not So Little Anymore is now,  hence forth or here forth....
                                                                                 being called my Little Man...{:)}

He has shyed away from the camera today. Did I mention he is going to be 15. He thinks my picture taking is silly, but usually he humors me, like when there truly IS something to celebrate, but he doesn't like to be caught in a moment, that is in an everyday happening, I guess. I need to mention that he is quite matter of fact about this. {:)}
He was a sweet boy today and helped with Little Em and worked on his archery merit badge and was happy to unload the dishwasher so that I could load.
He makes his Mommer happy.

And once again yes the dishes did get done....just in time for dinner.....more dishes!!

Eat some chocolate please!!

from me to you w love, M
