Project Eagle
Jo met with the first man and he wasn't sure he should sign it off.
He felt Jo didn't have enough specifics about erecting the flag pole,
But he felt it was a very good project.
He met with a second person and then they all met together.
They gave him some recommendations and felt that with the contacts
Jo had given them, he would figure these things out as he proceeded.
AND if not he had time to revise.
I'm happy to announce, Jo's Eagle Project proposal was accepted tonight.
I told him to look for a project that served the community around him.
He noticed his school didn't have a flag, being a Boy Scout he felt that was important...
AND we pass the school entrance all the time.
So he came up with this...
He is going to organize the building of a foundation to erect a flag pole,
create a school flag,
donate an American flag and
create a new entrance sign.
This will also include:
organizing the student body to submit drawings to create a school flag.
Teach them how to raise, lower, display, and fold the flag.
Organize his troop to help build a planter with flowers and a sign inside.
He had to explain all this in writing and communicate his knowledge.
I think these pictures show a pretty good representation of what it feels like
to be a mom waiting on the other side of the room.
Now his work begins. ππΌππΌ
Go Jo!!!
