8/4/16 Unique, Loving, Hope

Yesterday I did a lot of cleaning, running around and preparing, I stopped to tea party withEm, and then we ran some errands. It was not really a picture kind of taking day. I didn't shower until 4. Why get clean, to clean, when I'm just going to get dirty??

Anyway, after getting ready, and driving to town, I listened to "your Christian companion." The subject was a book called, The 8 Smarts...or something like that.
Self smart, people smart, nature smart, body smart, picture smart, logic smart, music smart, word smart.

Everyone is smart.

The point the author was trying to make is that we are ALL smart different and beautifully made by God.

That resonated with me, as I know, I am a child of God, and so is everyone else, with, yes, special gifts, talents and abilities.

Each one of my 5 children are unique. Absolutely powerful and gifted in my eyes, and His. They all have different temperaments, talents and abilities. Some want tea parties, some what music, some want time, and talking and laughter, and some want quiet, peace, and thinking. We have conflict in all that sometimes, but are trying to find commonalities in our differences, like our love for each other and our Heavenly Father.

Life is not a neat little package.  I am glad to have what I have. Even my problems are mine. They were given to me, if they were gone, I'd have no joy. My children are mine. They were sent to me straight from heaven. They are the light of my life. All this puts parenting into perspective for me. I am trying to live with the intention of joy and I understand that opposition is necessary. I can honestly say, I am a big mess and I am wonderful too. Aren't we all?? I'm trying to teach my Littles this and that their weakness can be made strong through Him. This brings so much light and hope into life.

Hopefully through this they will have a better understanding of themselves, their siblings, and others... AND hopefully with that understanding, and knowledge, they will accept & respect others, their differences, and find love and joy in life.

From me to you w love,
My deepest prayer,
Mommer
