Little Man Journey
My son, who is no longer little. Why do these things seem to happen over night?
He went to a 1920's bday party Saturday night. A teenage out in the country, kinda party, with lots of people. Oh, the wonder whirls in my head were spinning as I saw all those cars. I started to tell him to call if he needed anything. He seemed to know exactly what I was thinking and said, "My friends are good mom."
I picked him up at midnight, still smiling his truth.
Dear Little man Jo,
I will now fondly refer to you as my Big Little "Jo-urney".
Look at that smile!!! There is a brightness about you, that can't deny who you are!
A child of God!
Your journey from child to here has been a "we" journey, but now it's all about you. Your "me" journey.
Your childhood passed by with wonder and delight, but now this is your journey, your choices, your motivations, dreams, desires, wants and wills. That's what will shape your Big life. Your adulthood.
I love you always, always most-est most-est, my son. I look forward to your journey as it unfolds.
from me to you w love,
Mommer
