A day in my life...

My life is simple. I try to create something everyday. This feeds my creative soul, the one busy work that I love most.

Banner making is quick, fun and easy. I like decorating the fireplace in the dining room with a theme for the holiday. This is for Back to School.

Love the school bus, it brings back memories.

We made little tootsie pop flowers for the staff and teachers.

Em wanted to deliver some to her nursery teacher. Luckily she lives close by so we went for a little ride.

Then, I thought I'd make some more banners and found this apple material.

Little Em sits next to me at her art table. I have created "themed activities" and rotate them through out the day. One container has 3 small dolls, some miniature plates, cups and spoons and a bag of m&m's or fruit snacks in which to have a mini tea party. She loves this, plays for about a half hour packs it up and is onto the next themed activity.
We always take a break to read, one or two or five books depending.....

My day moves on to homework help and I am pleased that my son volunteered to make a poster for the school dress code.  He came up with the theme " don't be a "sagger, have some swagger." He said the kids really liked it and put him in charge.  He told me he didn't have room for the word 'some' and hoped that it was still ok. I thought it was awesome...much detail, don't you think?

I make dinner....simple but from scratch and almost always served at 5:30 pm with everyone gathered around the table. We talk about our day.

After noticing my little man's locks were getting out of control I trimmed his hair...he hates getting his hair cut, but it is way easier for me to do it. Having it done elsewhere is rather embarrassing, for the both of us as he tells me, getting his hair cut is like having a million shots going into his head!!! This is just one of the things in which he is highly sensitive. I am grateful it is not worse. We get it done and move on.

A bed time routine of sorts, for all the Littles, mostly done by My Mister because I get them all up in the morning, make breakfast, lunches, make sure they are dressed and such, and morning prayer. He does night time routine; making sure baths are done, teeth are brushed, books are read, songs are sung  and bedtime prayers are given.

At this time I get to either finish cleaning up the kitchen,or some other household duty, or if need be I just sit down and type. :)
Then My Mister and I spend some time together and we repeat most of such, the next day.

From me to you w love, M
